Resolved: I will not blog about work.

Except to say this. When work takes up most of your life and effort, how can it not come through in your speech? Lord, keep a guard on my heart and my lips.

Just came across this news story about the Church of England publishing a prayer for those who have lost their employment (”made redundant,” in their parlance – maybe it’s a British thing?).

I haven’t completely figured out how I feel about it, but I suppose that it’s good that at least someone might turn to God in their time of trial. If it takes an institutionally-scripted petition to bring about that change, so be it.
