Sleepless in Northville

well, not me so much as Tiffany. Isaac has had a rough couple of nights - waking up every hour or so. I tend to sleep through them, but I wake up exhausted the next morning, so I must be subconsciously comisserating with my wife. (BTW - our first anniversary was yesterday - huzzah! - although I didn’t get home until 9:00 and Tiffany and Isaac were already in bed)

I haven’t fallen asleep at my keyboard yet, and Isaac and Tiffany get naps throughout the day (they were zonked out when I left for work this morning), so it’s not as bad as it could be, I suppose (but I reserve final judgment on that point to Tiffany).

In slightly related news, we have doctor’s appointments scheduled for both me and Isaac. The Riblet gets his two week-ish checkup, and I go in at the end of the month for an hour-long, pre-Africa physical. Hoo-boy, won’t that be fun? (turns head and coughs)

New nickname alert! Uncle Pete from Idaho has officially stuck himself with a nickname. We got a card yesterday in the mail, in which he wonders whether Gruncle is a satisfactory contraction of great-uncle. Works for us! I dub thee Gruncle Pete! Would that make Jane a Graunt? And would one say /grawnt/ or /grant/? Suggestions are welcome.
