July

I drove with Isaac to Tennessee for the last part of June, 1st part of July!  It was an adventure to be sure. We made it there safe and sound.  Isaac had a great time visiting with his Greatgrandmother Acuff, grandpa and tante Sarah! It was on this trip that he decided he needed to pee pee in the toilet and not in his diaper.  Potty Training here we come!!!

Grandmother was thrilled to see her little guy and insisted we take him to church so everyone can see the next Acuff generation is live and well!  He, of course, knew he’d be loved and threw kisses and grins at every little old lady he saw.

A quick walk through the cemetery to introduce Isaac to Greatgrandad Acuff (Zeb’s granddad who died before he was born).

July was CRAZY! I started a new position and a new company this month, which is proving to be not quite as bizarre as we had thought (no, we haven’t had to file the first round of taxes yet).  Isaac loves the new family, and they love us both!  The kids are great and the parents are wonderful, too.  God has richly blessed us with good health and excellent time as a family.  Zeb has had a good month at work, too. He received his second promotion this year, so he is now a Senior Planner at McKenna Associates.  Vacation Bible School was the last week of July. We had a team from Hillsdale, MI come to help us and to do other servant evangelism projects.  They were a HUGE blessing and one of them even accepted Christ while they were here. Please pray for her, as she finds out who she is in Christ.  VBS was great! We had 3 decisions of salvation and a lot of fun! The kids learned really long verses and some really great lessons that to be a hero, all you really need to do is what God has put before you to do.

I almost forgot. Isaac had his 15 month check up and is officially back on the upward curve of growing! No gastroenterologist for us!  Turns out we don’t have to see a urologist either, since his ultrasound on the kidneys showed no evidence of hydronephrosis!  God is good!!
