I know this is an old picture, but I don’t know that anyone besides us has seen it! I am not entirely sure when it was taken, but my hunch is somewhere in the vicinity of September/October 2006.

A sleep study update! Isaac had a sleep study about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Before the study, I prayed that he would either be healed of whatever was wrong in his body OR that he would have the worst night EVER so that they would get every piece of data they needed. Now, God clearly answered that prayer by giving Isaac a terrible night (a typical sleep study is at least 8-9hours, his lasted less than 7.5). While we are unsure of how God intends to use this to HIS fame and glory, we are sure that He will.
Oh! The results: Isaac had 4 obstructive apneas (physical), which is what we were expecting to find. He also had 26 central apneas (oops in the brain). If anyone wants clarification about types of apnea, send an email and we’ll be glad to explain. Since he has had a previous MRI and consult with neurosurgery, the pulmonologist does not think we need to venture down that road just yet. Instead, they are sending us to pediatric cardiology for an EKG (Electrocardiogram). I have been told that sometimes (not often), that kids with heart defects or quirks can have apnea. That is why this is the next step. He has never had a formal evaluation of his heart, so that’s where we go next. If his heart turns up normal, then we will be revisiting the possibility of an MRI and other visits to neurology.
Please pray for wisdom and peace. God is so faithful and we are confident that He has grand things in mind for His little boy. We know that His name will be made famous through this…somehow…Pray that Isaac would get sufficient rest so that his body can do what it needs to do.
