Isaac had his EKG (electrocardiogram) today. You should all be proud of him. The wait was long, and there was a REALLY mean little girl who kept shoving Isaac and pushing him down. Isaac just looked at her with sad eyes and told her “say sorry, say sorry, say sorry”. I really felt bad for the little girl because her parents were sending her such mixed signals as to appropriate behavior, which just served to confuse her. Anywho, once they called us back (an hour after our scheduled appt, thank you adminstrative snafus!), it didn’t take the nurse 12 minutes to hook Isaac up, run the test, undo all that she just hooked up, and send him home. Here’s the cute part. We practiced at home with stickers and string and talked about how they were going to put lots of stickers on and listen to the radio. Telling him about the radio seems to help him understand that they are finding something out and need him to be still and quiet. When he took his shirt off and laid down, the nurse immediately put 13 stickers on his chest. As she was attaching the first lead to one of those stickers, he looked at her and said “listen radio”. She looked confused, I explained, and she wrote it down to remember for the next nervous child. We tease Isaac about how many stations they are going to pick up today!
We should have results by Friday, but we make no promises. Depending on what the news is, will depend on how quickly it makes it up here. We may make phone calls first, then post the results on the blog.

Oh, the best part of the day!! Isaac got to play with Cole (Bert and Amanda’s son) at McDonald’s today as a sort of reward for being such a big boy today for his test. They had a lot of fun…I’m clearly going to have to teach Isaac how to play “horsey”!
