Here is the list of Doctors that are currently monitoring and/or providing care for Isaac’s medical care:
Dr. Wayne: Our Family doctor whom we love. He has proven himself trustworthy and honorable. He will no longer be caring for Isaac as of June 1st.
Dr. Marcus: Will be taking over Isaac’s general health as his pediatrician as of June 1st.
Dr. Cushing: Isaac’s hematologist. She is wonderful and does get regular updates when he has bloodwork done. She and Dr. Wayne work marvelously together. I hope she and Dr. Marcus can do the same!
Dr. Finkel: Isaac’s neurologist. He is incredibly smart and curious. I think he wants to figure out what is going on in Isaac’s head as much as we do. He is okay with pursuing most any test that will provide clues and information as long as they are noninvasive and pose little risk to Isaac.
Dr. Abulhamid: Isaac’s pulmonologist. I have only met the man once for about 10 minutes. My impression of him was not a good one, but I am assured that once we spend more time with him, we will come to like him quite a lot. He and Dr. Finkel will be coordinating the bulk of Isaac’s care in regards to the central apnea. He will ultimately be responsible for making sure Isaac gets a monitor with pulse oximeter attached.
Karen Braniff: Isaac’s pulmonary nurse practitioner. She will no longer be directly involved in his care, but will still be my point of contact at Children’s Hospital for questions and concerns.
I think that’s all of them. Please pray for them to have immense amounts of wisdom and compassion. They are frustrated with us sometimes just as much as we get with them. Namely because neither of us knows what is genuinely wrong with Isaac nor how to fix it. He has excellent physicians. I am thankful though that the Great Physician knows him more intimately than any earthly one ever will! God is good and has provided us with excellent resources and opportunities to share Him with others.
