BAERS Results

I just got Isaac’s results today from the BAERS test. His hearing is normal and there are no quirks along the hearing pathway to the brainstem. I do not know the specific ramifications of this yet, and won’t until we see Dr. Finkel on June 16. In the meantime, I’d like to gather a little family history (you can send emails directly to Zeb and I). We need to gather family medical history regarding headaches, migraines, shortness of breath, weak muscles, and if you have a recent blood work  done that has your platelet count (should be in the hundreds) and/or your lactic acid count, that would be fabulous.

While I do not suspect anything specific at this point, we are just at our wit’s end with this insanity and are trying to gather as many pieces of the puzzle (outside of ourselves and Isaac) as possible.
We do see pulmonology again on May 30, with hopes of an apnea monitor with pulse oximeter. Please pray specifically for the insurance company’s involvement, that they would see the urgency and importance of Isaac receiving this on a short term basis.

We go see Dr. Finkel again on June 16. I plan to schedule our first visit at the new pediatrician’s office after this.
