I know, I know…
I know I’m late posting pics for this week, but you’ll have to forgive, because I have the greatest news!!!
We met Isaac’s pediatrician this morning! He’s been seeing our family doctor until this last April, when he felt that Isaac needed more specialized care than he could provide.
Anyway, Isaac’s pedicatrician (Dr. Marcus) is awesome! He evaluated Isaac and feels like he is right on track with fine and gross motor skills and ahead of the game cognitively, with only minor social issues, but thinks these will resolve on their own. He is concerned about Isaac’s odd sleeping patterns, weird growth (although he did grow 1.25 inches in the last 2 months), and the apnea. Dr. M is on a first name basis with our neurologist, who both highly distrust our pulmonologist. Not to worry! He has a very good friend that is a pediatric pulmo, with whom he is going to talk to about Isaac with two goals in mind: 1. Get an apnea monitor pronto! and 2. Have Isaac transferred over to his office instead of Children’s hospital. I am ecstatic over this! Dr. M and Dr. Finkel are going to talk about possible causes of all the quirks Isaac has.
I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders and finally feel like we have doctors that will advocate for Isaac and not just look at Zeb and I like we’re crazy! God is so good!!
In the meantime, Isaac is still sleeping about 11-12 hours/night, 3-4 hours during the morning/afternoon and asking for a second nap at 5pm. We accommodate him as best we can…Please pray that his little body can just rest and that he can have a typical toddler lifestyle!
