Gymnastics!
So, Isaac’s neurologist and occupational therapist think that gymnastics is ideal for Isaac. He is built well for it and the use of so many different muscle groups will help him to be better coordinated and less clutzy! We are giving it a try. Today was Isaac’s first time to try gymnastics and he had a ball. He can start formal classes in February, as long as he shows the instructors on hand that he can follow directions and look out for others and know his limits to prevent self injury. The instructor today was impressed with his listening skills and how well he followed instructions. She also loved how he managed to get himself up to standing on a standard balance beam (short, but just like the olympics!) and took a few steps before stepping off of it (he did not fall!). Technically, he can’t start until he turns 3, but she thinks that if we keep coming on Fridays, that he will be ready by February when the next session starts! We’ll see how things go…There are a lot of pics today, I hope you enjoy!
