Isaac did a great job at the neurologist. Dr. Finkel (Isaac learned to say his name yesterday) said there is certainly reason for suspicion of the cerebellar tonsils playing a role in the new apnea and is ordering a new MRI. Isaac is scheduled to have his new MRI on Feb. 25, 2008. He will […]

Isaac’s results are in! His EKG is completely normal. Karen (nurse practitioner) says that there is a small percentage of kids with central apnea and no other sort of medical or neurological problems associated with it and that Isaac may just be one of “those” kids. She is going to talk to Dr. A (the […]

Isaac is scheduled to have his EKG on Wednesday, Jan. 23rd at 8:30am. I am told it is very simple, and not painful at all. We will have to wait until the following week for results.

Isaac had a sleep study done on January 4th. A lot of people have been curious about what it does and looks like, so we took a picture! Effectively, Isaac is attached to an EEG (brain waves), a heart monitor (to see if/when his heartrate drops), several motion detectors for his legs and chest […]

So….Saturday morning, the little guy manages to escape his second cast. We wrapped his arm in gauze and ACE bandage and decided we would have to wait til Monday’s appointment to do anything about it.

Yes..we did win the baby contest last week! But that’s the wrong kind of cast…
Isaac officially has his first major injury of childhood. As we were leaving this morning, he stood up next to the hinge side of the door and as it shut, his finger got smushed. Okay, that’s an understatement. […]

Isaac’s third tooth - top, in the front - broke through this week. Number four is still quite swollen, but not visible yet. He’s really sensitive about anyone trying to look at his teeth, though. I suppose I would be too if my gums were that sore.
Isaac also went in today for a blood draw. […]

Tiffany and Isaac came by the office for lunch today - Subway and cookies from the farmers’ market in Northville. Good checkup with Dr. Wayne today - Isaac is 9w5d, 11#5, 23″. It’s a good thing we asked about his meds - the hospital put him on a double dose of Zantac. Less medicine is […]

So, there is something worse than your wife and infant son being a thousand miles away for a week.
Isaac just got out of the hospital after a five-day visit for a suspected viral infection that cleared up on its own, but now we have a list of specialists to go see about his apnea and […]
