He is built well for it and the use of so many different muscle groups will help him to be better coordinated and less clutzy!  We are giving it a try. Today was Isaac’s first time to try gymnastics and he had a ball. He can start formal classes in February, as long as he shows the instructors on hand that he can follow directions and look out for others and know his limits to prevent self injury.  The instructor today was impressed with his listening skills and how well he followed instructions. She also loved how he managed to get himself up to standing on a standard balance beam (short, but just like the olympics!) and took a few steps before stepping off of it (he did not fall!).  Technically, he can’t start until he turns 3, but she thinks that if we keep coming on Fridays, that he will be ready by February when the next session starts! We’ll see how things go…There are a lot of pics today, I hope you enjoy!

I remember sitting in it with Granddad and him telling stories from days gone by…Well, I decided it was silly to keep the actual chair when it was really not functional at all. Therefore, I broke down and threw the chair away, but not before I took a picture of Isaac sitting in it. I wish that he had known his Great-Great-Granddaddy, but he will only know him by the stories I tell of him. It’s not the greatest picture, but it is special to me…

Last year we didn’t do so well, but this year we turned out in masses to help out with parking, information, athletics, hospitality, Wee Folks, and others that I can’t recollect right now.  I am elated to see how in a pinch the Body of Christ unifies and works together to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks.
