Elephant Nose!

Most of you know Isaac had a sleep study...here are some pictures from the adventure...Results will be on our caring bridge page when we get them!

Just hanging out, watching a movie, waiting for the technician to come put stickers on the boy!

Isaac with all his stickers and belts and hilarious knot on his head!

Ahhh...asleep at last..Only spent 30 minutes screaming before Daddy managed to work his magic..

Awesome technician! She did everything really fast and from what I heard, was very patient and attentive through the night with Isaac.

Bedtime stories with Daddy!

Elephant nose in place...Though not for long, from what I was told...We'll see how things went when the numbers come back!

I should write something clever in Gaelic

Okay, so somehow in my HUGE posting spree I managed to leave out our annual adventures at the Saline Celtic Festival!  So here they are!

Esther Rose is definitely my heat intolerant one. Isaac just wears himself out and shows all the signs of intolerance to the heat for days after the fact. Esther Rose just turns into a fuss bucket and sweats like nothing I've ever seen from a baby.  She's not too hot yet in this picture, since we'd only been outside for about 20 minutes or so...

This would be the "pretend" jousting. There are targets on either side that the kids get to try and hit with a long "lance".  Isaac graduated from riding with Mommy last year to riding by himself this year. Maybe next year he'll get to wield the lance, too!

A real live MayPole!

The braid at the top!  I loved this thing!!

More MayPole fun!

More Jousting practice!

Isaac and Daddy with the shield they painted together earlier in the day!

Just some cuteness to help you through your day!

Then GranGran came to visit!

No sooner had we arrived home, then GranGran arrived for a weeklong visit! Yes, I am still undoing all the spoilage that occurred over the last 2 weeks, but completely worth every tantrum we've endured since!

I really wish I had gotten more pics of my mom with the kids, but life just kept right on trucking and the camera never seemed to make it along for the ride!

Tennessee Day 3...Headed Home

It was a short visit, but a good one.  Enjoy our parting shots!

Tennessee Day 2...Out of Doors

We spent our second day in Tennessee outside!  Isaac had a ball with Grandpa and Tante Sarah and Daddy and Esther Rose....Inside fun was had, too, with Grandma and Great Grandmother Acuff!!!

You can't enjoy a good trip to Tennessee without enjoying the nearness of all the Sonics!

Isaac is learned this at an early age. He sees the signs as well as we do from far off and immediately asks for a "cranberry limeade" and/or "corn dog"!

Aunt Cath and Tante Nita, just in case you were wondering...Isaac still LOVES to play in this pool and it is soooo very portable!! Thank you for treating him to this 2 summers ago...It's seen almost as many states as he has :)

Thought we'd leave some artwork for the family to enjoy...So I roped Tante Sarah into my least favorite art project ever...Fingerpainting!! Thank you, Miss Sheila for the wonderful gift..Isaac has a ball with it!

Grandpa and Princess Esther Rose!

Esther Rose getting Belle kisses.  I was so glad that she wasn't afraid of Belle Puppy!  She actually seemed to enjoy Belle's attention!

Showing Uncle Buddy the trains!

I have a new hand fetish...Grandma and Princess!

The whole picture!

Aunt Evelyn with Esther Rose and Isaac!

Sarah decided a camp out with Isaac would be fun, so off to the tent did they go after dark!  Isaac loves his tent from Grandpa and the bug light from Gramma Joyce came in handy, too!  They actually slept in the green one, but we gave Isaac the choice of which tent to sleep in...His favorite camping activity?  Rolling off the air mattress and laughing hysterically!  Oh, to have been a fly on the wall of that tent...Tante Sarah was exhausted the next morning...I can't imagine why?!

Tennessee...Day 1...Introductions

Well, now that the Princess has arrived, it's time to make a few rounds an introduce to the family!  We got into Grandmother Acuff's house (Zeb's Dad's Mom) on Friday morning just after breakfast.  Isaac settled right in and remembered where everything was and loved on the Grandmother quite a bit..Particularly if she was sitting in his favorite chair (the one with massage).  Esther Rose was introduced today to Grandmother Acuff, Cousin Tiny, Cousin Rebekah, Cousin Jerry, and once they arrived..Grandpa (Zeb's Dad)!!

This is the first time we've stopped at Clinch Mountain with Isaac. He seemed to have a lot of fun, especially walking along the brickwall like a balance beam!

A rare photo of Isaac with Mommy!! Thanks, Daddy!

Esther Rose meets the Great Grandmother Acuff

Isaac made friends with Cousin Tiny's Dog, named Buddy... He also loved to play with the goats and donkey! Cousin Rebekah even let him help feed them!!

Esther Rose meets Cousin Tiny!

Isaac and Grandmother were snuggled on the chair...Isaac loves to play with Grandmother's hands!

Esther Rose meets Personal Body Guard number 3...Oh, sorry..this is the Grandpa!

Ok, so she didn't actually sleep there, but we had to set her down long enough to make our bed! Then we couldn't resist the impromptu photo op!

We Love Our Zoo!!

For those of you who have been to the Toledo Zoo any number of times, you probably just chuckled (or groaned) at the title of this blog!

Emily's birthday was a few weeks ago, and while I really wanted to take her somewhere with beach, health adventures with the kids have prevented any adventures of that caliber..So, we took her to another of her favorite place...The zoo!!!

Here are the moments we captured :)

He won't look at any other signage in the place, but here he has to find every duck on the board...Definitely his father's son!

Trains...By Isaac

Isaac got his first photography lesson yesterday!  He loves his trains and asked to take pictures of them...I believe his exact words were, "Gordon say cheese, Mommy?".. How was I supposed to resist that one..Here are his first attempts at picture taking with Mommy and Daddy's camera!

That's Donald. Isaac informs me, "Donald number 9 engine...D O N A L D spells it Donald, Mommy. Donald has a nine on him."

The one on the left is Freddie. He is the first train Isaac bought with his own "dollars".  The blue engine is Gordon and the smaller blue car is his coal car (tender).

Tummy and Train Time

So, Isaac has become very interested in having Esther Rose play with him and watch his trains. I have done my best to humor him, especially since it encourages Esther Rose to play on her tummy more and more (it's pretty sensitive, so she isn't super tolerant, but she handles it pretty well).  Here are some pictures I took this week, while we were stuck at home!
