Isaac decided last night when we got home that he wanted to sleep in the basement in his igloo tent. We convinced him to sleep in our room and we put his tent up in there! Emily got this for him for his first birthday and he LOVES it still!

We have a tradition. The last night of VBS, we always have a GIANT banana split! We use a (brand new) rain gutter and build a long banana split for the kids and their parents...It is always a lot of fun!

On the Boomerang Express!! It was a week full of all things Australia (minus the Vegimite) and God's Word and lots of kids!! Here are some highlights!
Our PreK and K class...It was awesome to see so many littles loving on Jesus this week!
Robert and I had a battle of the cameras going...I won!
This guy came and was actually throwing boomerangs in the sanctuary..he then spent over an hour outside with the kids showing them different boomerangs and then teaching them how to throw them themselves! What a fantastic way to end the week!

We went to the Detroit Zoo with Joyce, Sheila and Tanner! It was hot and the kids were exhausted when we left, but it was fun to see all the animals!

I got some new wheels...I sold my double jogger and got this awesome Joovy Caboose instead! I love it! The new carseat is courtesy of GranGran (my mom), which has been mostly a blessing...We don't schlep her around in it much, but it does come in handy from time to time!

James and Sheila, Gramma Joyce's son and daughter-in-love, recently moved to Houston with their adorable little man, Tanner! They came to visit last week and we had a lot of fun. They came over for dinner the first night they were in town and then we went to the zoo on Saturday!
Isaac was not altogether happy to share this train. It was his, but got put away as he got older. We thought it would entertain Tanner so Isaac could still play with his 'big boy' train...Nope! Isaac wanted the baby train...Tanner was a good sport, though.

Gramma Joyce is a pro at dividing her attentions! Isaac wasn't too keen on sharing her either, but she doled out enough fun that he got over it pretty quickly!
